TIA & NOORDIN
Messrs Tia & Noordin was founded by Mr Tia Chak Yit and Mr Noordin bin Hussin on the 1st of June 1984. In our initial years, we were a small practice operating from a single office in Johor Bahru town. Since the 1980s, we have pioneered a vast range of practice areas such as accident litigation, criminal litigation and company disputes. We represent many developers that have built the town of Johor Bahru and thus, we have been actively involved in the shaping of the city that stands today. We also represent many purchasers in various conveyancing projects across Johor.
In a bid to expand our ever-developing practice, thus our 2nd branch in Johor Jaya, Johor Bahru was born in 2006. Our four-storey Johor Jaya branch office was our proud headquarters until 2022. Today, we have relocated to a larger headquarters in Permas Jaya, Johor Bahru to accommodate our growing family and clientele where we diligently work to provide our clients with the best possible service. We have successfully expanded our humble practice with branches in Johor Jaya, Batu Pahat, Kota Tinggi and Kuala Lumpur.

Currently, we are primarily active in the areas of property & real estate, residential & corporate loans, land matters, civil litigation encompassing grants of probate & letters of administration, goods sold & delivered and commercial matters, divorce/family matters, charges and other security documents including trade line and overdraft. We are panel solicitors for a large number of national banking institutions, borrowing companies, reputable development firms and government bodies. We are also panel solicitors for the Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA) and we have delivered numerous talks at their various events.

Since the succession of our present Managing Partner, Chris Tia, the eldest son of one of our founding fathers, Mr Tia Chak Yit, our firm has successfully incorporated modern technology into our humble practice, bringing our firm into a new era and realm. In years to come, we strive to further increase our task force and strengthen our automation to facilitate the ever-changing and progressing business environment where speed and accuracy are key to better legal services. Technology has played a key role in increasing our efficiency and minimising human errors.
Coupled with our extensive database and years of experience, our firm not only provides run-of-the-mill services but we endeavour to provide solutions to more unique problems that our clients may face, all to provide a more well-rounded service to our clients. We have worked and will continue to work hard to expand our legal knowledge and abilities and achieve outstanding results in the legal field.
