MANAGING PARTNER
TIA POH LOONG is not just the Managing Partner of Messrs Tia & Noordin, but one of the leading figures in Malaysia’s legal community, especially in the conveyancing sector. During his tenure, Poh Loong has been very active in the legal fraternity, paving the way for several listed developers to kickstart their projects in the booming state of Johor. He is often cited as a daring conveyancer, unafraid to go beyond the individual sub-sale cases to take on developer giants.
Since 2006, his father, Tia Chak Yit, a founding partner of the firm, has entrusted Poh Loong with the responsibility of managing and operating the firm from its small branch on Jalan Trus. Over the years, through persevering hard work and unwavering determination, he has successfully established an empire of branches in Malaysia. A whopping 5 new branches have since been opened under his reign. He has incorporated the Information Technology era into the workings of a legal firm and a revolutionary systematic approach to the management of conveyancing procedures.
Poh Loong’s voracious appetite for information and his ability to develop a deep grasp of many areas of law have allowed him to develop a diverse practice, which includes complex corporate matters and litigation, restructuring and insolvency, financial and commercial disputes, information technology and construction and engineering disputes. His reading list is as varied as the legal briefs he handles; he is never happier than when immersed in the eclectic world of economics, history, business, finance, engineering, science and psychology.
He has established a huge network of clients where his legal services have assisted them in many ways. As he had started off his legal career as an aggressive litigator, he is well trained in court proceedings on divorce, employment, debt collection and contractual cases.
In his personal life, he enjoys mingling with staff members and provides friendly advice to our valued clients.
In short, he is your FRIEND in LAW!
